I wish I was at Coachella

Coachella, is here! One of the world’s most successful festivals has begun. Zedd, Chvrches, Flume, Disclosure, Halsey, Guns N’ Roses (!reunion!) and so much more. We can definitely say that Coachella has one hell of a great line-up this year, again.

Last weekend – April 15-17 Coachella kicked off the weekend of live music around the country. The festival continues in the weekend of April 22-24. Tickets for the 2016 festival are $399 or $459 with a shuttle pass included. VIP admission is $899, and VIP parking costs $150.

If you can’t make it, just like many others (me included), don’t be sad. You can watch the livestream on YouTube.com/coachella.

Music aside, what many don’t consider when thinking about Coachella is just how beautiful the festival is. For many years, the organizers try to develop its own universe around the festival. At night, the palm trees light up, while illuminated balloons fly into the sky. It’s the perfect example of how you can create a memorable experience.

In the years following Coachella’s success, many other festivals have followed in its footsteps, copying its format as a destination festival with multiple stages, attractions, art, and camping. Some of these new festivals have grown to achieve the same success as Coachella, such as Lollapalooza in Chicago.

Coachella & Fashion.

Coachella is considered a trendsetter in music and fashion. H&M gets ready for the festival season with the “H&M Loves Coachella” 2016 collection. The label aimed at portraying a sense of ease and belonging, as the styles are meant to be mixed, but not necessarily matched. The campaign shots are set in a landscape of glowing purple fields and rainbows.

For the ladies, H&M presents beaded and fringed tops, allover printed jumpsuits, denim cut-offs and accessories such as floppy hats, flat boots, and sunglasses. The guys can look forward to a selection of printed tees and mismatched shirts, alongside denim shorts and Bermudas. H&M will have a special pop-up tent on-site at Coachella, allowing attendees to shop the exclusive collection.

So even though we can’t be physically there, we can at least imagine ourselves being there through the livestream on youtube. And since Coachella is known to be a trendsetter, we can simply copy the looks for the coming festival season!

For those interested, here’s my Spotify playlist, any idea how badly I wanted to be there?
